Day Tour to Luxor from Aswan – Explore the Best of Luxor City
Starts at 7:00 AM with pickup from your hotel or Nile cruise in Aswan by a licensed tour guide from MGO Travel Egypt. You will be transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, approximately 280 km north of Aswan, arriving around 10:00 AM to begin your day tour.
Start your exploration on the West Bank of the Nile, visiting the Valley of the Kings, famous for its magnificent tombs and elaborate burial architecture. Many pharaohs are buried here, including Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II.
Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as El Deir El Bahari, built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (circa 1490–1469 B.C.), the only pharaonic woman to reign over ancient Egypt. Continue to the Colossi of Memnon, the impressive remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
Then, cross to the East Bank of the Nile to visit Karnak Temple, the greatest example of religious worship in ancient Egypt, dedicated to Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. Spend approximately 3 hours exploring Karnak before continuing to the Temple of Luxor, built by Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty.
Around 5:00 PM, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Aswan or to Aswan airport if you are departing on the same day.
Important Note:
To comply with regulations, we need to obtain the necessary permissions from the tourist police. Please provide a copy of your passport to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience during your tour.
