Private Full-Day Tour to Explore the West Bank of Luxor

At 7:00 AM, pick-up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor by MGO Travel licensed tour guide, then you will be transferred by private A/C vehicle to the West Bank.

You will visit the Valley of the Kings, renowned for its magnificent burial architecture. Many pharaohs are buried here, including King Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Ramesses VI, Merenptah, and Amenhotep II.

Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (El Deir El Bahari), built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (c. 1490–1469 BC). She was the only female pharaoh of ancient Egypt.

Then visit Medinat Habu, an archaeological site near the foot of the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the Nile, opposite modern Luxor.

Continue your tour to Deir el-Medina, also known as the Valley of the Workers. This ancient village was home to the artisans who built the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th–20th dynasties of the New Kingdom (c. 1550–1080 BC). The wall paintings here remain remarkably well-preserved.

Then visit the Valley of the Queens, where the wives of pharaohs were buried. In ancient times, it was known as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning “the place of the Children of the Pharaoh,” as many princes, princesses, and nobility members were buried here alongside the queens of the 18th–20th dynasties (1550–1070 BCE).

Continue your tour to the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

At the end of the day, transfer back to your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor.
